Top Gadgets Launched Last Week
The
last
week saw the release of the new iPad from Apple, which left the
users disappointed to some extent. In India, a lot of gadgets
including cameras, projectors, tablets and mobile handsets were launched
by major players. Here is a round up of the latest gadget launches in
the consumer electronics world...
MyPad,
YUP tablets
MyPad
and YUP are the two new tablet PCs being marketed in India by Mangal
Electronics. Mangal Electronics has
many firsts to its credit from introducing the world's smallest
pocket size projector to human touch door lock systems. MyPad and
YUP are value-for-money products that run Android 2.2.1 and 2.3.1 and
3.0 platforms with multiple built-in features. MyPad is
available in multiple sizes and variants with different features and
specifications ranging from 17.8 cms (7 inches) to 25.9 cms (10.2 inches). YUP comes in two
variants, i.e. chrome and black. MyPad

Card-Shaped' USB Flash Drive
Moser Baer recently launched India's first credit-card shaped USB flash drive called
Moser Baer Zap. The pocket flash drive fits easily in wallets, card holders, files and folders,
thanks to its ultra-slim size and shape. It features 4 GB memory, measures 84.15 X
52.83 sq. mm and weighs just 10.25 gms. With USB 2.0 interface, it is
compatible with Win 2000/XP/ME/Vista/7, Mac OS 9.0 or later versions
and Linux Kernel 2.4.0 and higher versions. It comes along with a two-year warranty.

Desktop Range
ASUS launched its new range of six desktops in India last week. The
six different desktop PCs under its CM series are aimed at casual PC
users while the CG series opens a new chapter in the gaming hardware
design. These PCs are basically designed for the mid- and high-end
users for the gaming purpose. The ROG Titan is a powerful gaming
desktop and provides users with a real HD experience.

PS20 LED TV series
Toshiba
has launched its latest LED TV series with 17mm narrow bezel which
provides the user with a great viewing experience. Toshiba PS20
features a 28-video format playback. The series is powered by REGZA
Engine technology. It includes features like Auto-clean
that reduces noise, Auto-signal booster that helps in
weak signals, Auto-view that monitors the room brightness and
adjusts accordingly. Toshiba PS20 LED Power TV is available in
32PS20, 40PS20 and 46PS20 models.

Communication India Pvt Ltd has launched a full touchscreen mobile
phone M486 Giant with dual SIM and dual standby. It features a 10.16-cm
(4-inch) touchscreen display along with a 1.3 MP front camera, 3.2
MP rear camera with a flash. The sleek handset lets you enjoy movies,
videos and also allows you to listen to your
favourite collection of songs, as it's equipped with MP4 player and
a 3GP video player. It is a Java-enabled smartphone that supports

DSLR- the EOS 5D Mark III
Canon
India recently unveiled
its new full frame DSLR aimed at professionals, EOS 5D Mark III. It
is the perfect choice for serious amateurs, enthusiasts and
professionals. The EOS 5D Mark III will be available for sale in
April 2012. It features a newly developed 22.3MP, full frame CMOS
sensor, with greater per-pixel quality and an even wider usable ISO range. The new 61-point High
Density Reticular Auto Focus (AF) system, with 41 cross-type points,
is another highlight adding a new dimension in versatility to the
focusing system. The 63-zone, Dual-layer Metering Sensor, is able to
achieve accurate exposure irrespective of the ambient lighting
conditions. The
EOS 5D Mark III will be available for sale in April 2012.
Epson
3D Home Projectors
Epson
unveiled four home projectors and two projectors for business
purposes. Out of the projectors released on the day, two projectors
caught the eye - the 3D projector, EH-TW6000 and the world's first
Apple device projector, Epson MG-850HD. Epson has released its first
3D projector which is aimed at 3D and HD movie lovers. Epson claims
that the projector offers the brightest 3D images in the world. The users
also have the option of 2D to 3D image conversion with the projector.
The 3D projector is priced at Rs 1,10,000 and the Apple device
projector comes at a cost of Rs 49,900.
