LG announces K8 smartphone to run on Android Marshmallow
After launching K4, K7 and K10 globally last month, LG has silently
unveiled a new smartphone in K series, named K8. This announcement comes
ahead of MWC event which is to be held in Barcelona next week. LG K8
is currently listed on the LG's official Hungarian website where in all
of its specs are mentioned but the listing has no mention regarding its
price.
As per the listing, the LG K8 features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) In-cell Touch IPS display featuring 2.5D glass coating. It is based on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and has a 1.3 GHz quad core MediaTek MT6735 processor which runs with 1.5 GB RAM. The smartphone has 8 GB of internal storage and a 32 GB micro SD card slot as well.
The LG K8 also offers an 8 megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 5 megapixel front camera. The dual SIM LG K8
offers 4G/3G connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, micro USB 2.0
port, and a 2,125 mAh battery. The device dimensions are 144.6 x 71.5 x
8.7mm and weighs 156 grams.
The LG K8 comes in Blue and White colours.
LG will be showcasing its premium smartphone - LG G5 along, X Cam, X Screen and the Stylus 2 in the upcoming MWC event. LG K8 is also expected to be showcased along with these phones.
