New Gionee Elife S8 Smartphone Which Can Run Dual WhatsApp Launched at MWC 2016


Gionee Elife S8 Smartphone: Gionee a Chinese Smartphone Manufacturer has launched its latest Handset – The Elife S8 at MWC 2016. The highlight of this smartphone is, It support multiple WhatsApp accounts and also includes 3D Touch-like pressure sensitive display. Gionee at the MWC event has revealed its brand new logo and tagline that says – ‘Make Smiles’. This latest flagship Handset is priced at EUR 449 (roughly Rs. 34,000 INR).

The New Gionee Elife S8 smartphone features 3D Touch (same like Apple uses) pressure sensitive display, It is one of the biggest highlights of this new handset, and is expected to work as the new iPhone models. Gionee says that the Device can sense 3 levels of force including tap to preview the content of an app, touch to select an app, and press to run the app.

Specifications: The smartphone features a 5.5-inch full-HD AMOLED 1080×1920 pixels resolution display. Gionee said that the display thickness in the new S8 smartphone is just 0.693mm. At the launch, the company touted that the S8 features floating windows. the Gionee Elife S8 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor which is paired with 4GB of RAM.
Coming to the Camera Options, the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, laser autofocus, PDAF, and LED flash. There is also an 8-megapixel secondary front camera on board. The company claimed that the camera app on the new Elief S8 has been redesigned and comes with features such as text recognition (OCR) support (English and Chinese), the video also comes with beauty effects, time lapse, and Slow motion.
The smartphone supports dual-SIM (Micro-SIMs) and 4G+ connectivity functionality. At the launch event, the company said that the handset comes with ‘Dual WhatsApp’ and ‘Dual WeChat’ features, which means you can have two instances of WhatsApp and Wechat open at once, associated with different accounts. The Gionee Elife S8 runs Amigo 3.2 OS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, the smartphone is equipped with 64GB of built-in storage.

The smartphone is packed by a 3000mAh battery. It supports dual 4G, FDD, 7 modes and 14 bands which the Chinese company said will make it ideal for globally roaming. It is also integrated with a fingerprint sensor in the home button. It measures 154.3×74.9x7mm and weighs 148 grams.
