At an event in China, LeEco has launched not one, but three new smartphones. Called Le 2, Le 2 Pro and Le Max 2, all three smartphones come with metal unibody design, thin bezels on the front and a fingerprint scanner for added security. One of the talking points of these smartphones is the USB Type-C Audio port. While there have been leaked reports that Apple iPhone 7 would skip the 3.5mm audio port, LeEco has already done this with its new smartphones. LeEco also announced that these smartphones will feature CDLA (Continual Digital Loseless Audio) technology to offer high-quality uncompressed audio.

LeEco Le 2

It flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display and is powered by MediaTek’s Helio X20 tri-cluster deca-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.

In the photography department, it is equipped with a 16-megapixel rear camera of aperture f/2.0 with PDAF and LED flash, and an 8-megapixel camera up front. In the camera department, the Le 2 Pro gets the slightly higher resolution 21-megapxiel rear camera and a front-facing 8-megapixel unit. Connectivity options and the battery capacity also remain the same as the Le 2.
LeEco Le Max 2 specifications and features: The Le Max 2 comes with a slightly bigger 5.7-inch QHD display running at a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. At the heart of the smartphone runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. It comes equipped with a 3,100mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 feature and connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G LTE, VoLTE and GPS among others.
All three smartphones run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS wrapped under LeEco’s customized EUI 5.5. The LeEco Le 2 will set you back by 1099 Yuan, (which is approximately Rs 11,300), the Le 2 Pro is priced at 1499 Yuan (which is approximately Rs 15,400), whereas the Le Max 2 would set you back by 2099 Yuan (which is approximately Rs 21,500).
All three smartphones will go on pre-order in China starting today, and will be available starting from April 26. However, there is no word on when LeEco will launch these smartphones in India.
