xiaomi-redmi-note-3-india-launch-dateXiaomi announced a new Snapdragon 650-powered Redmi Note 3 earlier this month in China, which is the variant coming to India as well. The phablet was originally launched in China last year with a MediaTek processor. But Xiaomi has been in a court battle with Ericsson since 2014, and is only allowed to sell smartphones in India that are powered by Qualcomm’s chipsets.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 specifications and features: The Redmi Note 3 features a full-metal unibody design, as well as a fingerprint scanner. It flaunts a 5.5-inch 1080p display, and is powered by the Snapdragon 650 chipset. There are two variants of the phablet  — 16GB storage variant with 2GB of RAM, and 32GB storage variant with 3GB of RAM. It would be interesting to see if Xiaomi launches both variants in India.
The Redmi Note 3 also features a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and PDAF, 5-megapixel selfie camera, 4,050mAh battery and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, and 4G LTE support. On the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop-based MIUI 7.
Xiaomi’s phablet was launched in China with a price tag of 999 Yuan, which roughly translates to Rs 10,100.
