Ahead of its official launch, leaked photos of the Vivo Xplay 5 reveal its design and features. The smartphone is set to launch in China, later today with a whopping 6GB of RAM.
Vivo is all set to launch its long-rumored smartphone, the Xplay 5 in China later today. One of the talking points of the smartphones is its whopping 6GB of RAM and dual-edge display, just the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and the Galaxy S7 Edge. Just ahead of the launch, we’ve come across leaked live photos of the smartphone which reveals its design. The photos were posted on China’s social network, Weibo.
Vivo XPlay 5 specifications and features:
The smartphone was recently spotted on Antutu Benchmark which reveals a
5.5-inch QHD display running at a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. On
the hardware front, Vivo has already teased that the smartphone will be
powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset paired with 6GB of LPDDR
RAM.
The teaser also revealed support
for Hi-Fi 3.0 audio. While 6GB of RAM seems unnecessary and a marketing
gimmick to lead the spec war, it will be interesting to see how Vivo
actually manages to make use of the memory.
Other features such as
16-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, 4G LTE connectivity, 128GB
of onboard storage and a 3,600mAh battery with fast charging support
are expected. The smartphone is likely to be powered by Android 6.0
Marshmallow with Funtouch OS running atop.
