Oppo R9 and R9 Plus launch confirmed for March 17
Oppo has confirmed the launch of R9 and R9 Plus smartphones for March 17. The new smartphones are said to be targeted at selfie lovers.
Oppo has confirmed that it will be launching the R9 and R9 Plus smartphones on March 17 in China. The company has been teasing and hinting at the launch on its Weibo account for
past few weeks. Today it finally posted an image confirming the launch
of the smartphone. Ahead of the launch, there have already been many
leaks about the R9 and R9 Plus smartphones.
Oppo posted an image which read ’2016 New Product Launch Event’ along
with a ’9′ numerical written on it. While other details remain sketchy
at the moment, the Oppo R9 and R9 Plus are said to be camera focused
smartphones.
Oppo R9 specification and features: As per the TENAA certification, the smartphone will sport a 6-inch QHD (1440x2560pixels) display and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC. The smartphone will have 4GB RAM and a 32GB internal memory which will be further expandable to 128GB with microSD.
On the camera front it has a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone has a 3,700mAh and is expected to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box.
Oppo R9 Plus specification and features: The Oppo R9 Plus is said to be the larger of the two variant with a 6-inch full-HD Amoled display, an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. On offer is a 64GB memory which is expandable to 128GB with microSD.
The camera is said to be the same as the Oppo R9. It will come packed with a 4,120mAh battery with VOOC rapid charge and run Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
