Huawei P9 Camera To ‘Reinvent Smartphone Photography’? March 9 Launch Not Happening?

After a successful 2015 for Huawei, smartphone enthusiasts are definitely looking forward for the first high-end device that the company will be releasing this 2016, the Huawei P9.
In its report, Petapixel said that Leica Camera AG recently announced its smartphone debut with a partnership with Chinese smartphone company Huawei in a bid to "reinvent smartphone photography." Leica is a German optics enterprise and manufacturer of Leica cameras, known for high-quality, lightweight rangefinder cameras. Leica cameras are highly preferred for street photography.

Accordingly, in a newly leaked photo, the Huawei P9 is seen to have a dual camera system, which according to Petapixel, is the first to feature Leica glass. The report added that behind the Leica-manufactured lenses for Huawei P9 are 12-megapixel sensors.
Furthermore, the dual camera setup is expected to provide refocusing after shooting photos, simulated aperture or depth of field, special filters, more powerful zoom and higher image quality. The dual camera will also have dual-LED, dual tone flash.
Meanwhile, Android Headlines said that the initially reported March 9 launch for Huawei P9 may not be happening. According to the report, Huawei's officials may have said that Huawei P9 is on the way but apparently it won't be launched soon.
Android Headlines also highlighted the three new renders of Huawei P9 that show that the new smartphone will be made of metal and will sport chamfered edges. It added that Huawei P9 will also have a fingerprint scanner that will be located on the back of the smartphone. The physical power / lock button, the volume rocker keys and the SIM tray are placed on the right side of the device.
Huawei P9, the report added, will ship in standard and high-end variants: the standard variant having 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage while the high-end model will have 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage.
