Vernee Apollo launched with MediaTek Helio X20 chipset, 6GB RAM and Force-Touch display

Vernee is the latest smartphone company to come out of China and it has launched its flagship smartphone – the Apollo – with the MediaTek Helio X20 chipset inside it. The pricing hasn’t been announced yet and it is expected to start selling in China in April.
Vernee is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) which has released two smartphones – the flagship Apollo and the mid-range Thor. The Apollo comes with flagship specifications. For starters, it has 6GB of RAM, sports a 5.5-inch 2K display with 3D force touch and has 128GB onboard storage. On the camera front, you get 21MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. The phone comes with a USB Type C port for charging and data transfer.

In terms of appearance, the Vernee Apollo bears a some resemblance to the Huawei Mate 8. The MediaTek Helio X20 chipset housed inside the Apollo boasts of a deca-core CPU in the tri-cluster configuration. It has four Cortex A53 processors clocked at 1.4GHz, four Cortex A53 processors clocked at 2.0 GHz and two Cortex A72 processors clocked at 2.5GHz. These processors are paired with Mali -T880 graphics solution.
The other phone released by Vernee was the Thor which houses MediaTek MT6753 chipset. Not much else is know about the Thor.
