iPhone SE Vs Samsung Galaxy S7 Mini: Which Low-Cost Smartphone Should You Wait For?

iPhone SE Vs Samsung Galaxy S7 Mini: Which Low-Cost Smartphone Should You Wait For?

We’ve already heard the reports about Apple releasing a 4-inch iPhone this year. It looks like Samsung isn’t letting its competition get the better of them as rumors have surfaced that they will be taking on the Apple iPhone SE with its Samsung Galaxy S7 mini.

Reports, that first came out of Taiwan, are stating that Samsung is planning to build a mini version of its flagship smartphone, according to PhoneArena. This move from the tech company would certainly gather attention since Apple will also supposedly be unveiling a mini version of its iPhone. However, the question that needs to be answered is: Which smartphone is worth the wait?

iPhone SE

Apple is reportedly taking the old design of the iPhone 5S together with other features of the 6S into the iPhone SE, according to Forbes. Whether Apple’s move will give them an advantage or surprisingly become a complication is still up in the air. If there should be any reason why this will be a good move for Apple, it should bring their device to a lower cost that will entice a lot of consumers to buy the units right away.
Reports have also indicated that the iPhone SE will have no 3D Touch, which Apple considers to be their hyped pressure sensitive screen technology, which is why this could be one of the reason getting an iPhone SE isn’t worth it.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Mini

As for the Samsung Galaxy S7 Mini, it will supposedly have a 4.6-inch display with 720×1280 resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset or Exynos 8890 chipset and 3GB of RAM, PhoneArena shared. It will also be 9.9mm thick that will have a 12MP mounted rear camera with 3X optical zoom.

Who wins?

It may come down to which smartphone has the better design to show off and how much cheaper it is compared to its big brothers. We have yet to know the exact details and features of the iPhone SE and Galaxy S7 mini, so the winner still cannot be made certain. However, if there’s a phone that has somewhat of an advantage, it could be the iPhone SE since it’s expected to be cheaper than the Galaxy S7 mini.
