Samsung to launch 5 flagship devices in 2017 – including foldable smartphone

Fans of Samsung will be delighted to hear that the Korean giant is planning to launch 5 new flagship smartphones in 2017, on top of the one that is due for launch later this year.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Note 6 is August but that will be it for 2016 with users then having to wait until 2017 before the company has a bumper year in terms of releases.

The new flagships will include the Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge, the Galaxy Note 7 and Note 7 Edge, as well as the Galaxy X, reports well sourced Samsung blog SamMobile.

All of the devices with the exception of the Galaxy X are believed to have Super AMOLED 2.5k resolution displays.

Samsung has long been rumoured to be developing a foldable smartphone. The Galaxy X is reported to be expandable allowing it to be used like a tablet and is also rumored to feature a 4k display.
The Galaxy X has been in the pipeline for around 12 months but it appears that it is now ready to be launched according to reports coming out of Korea.

The Galaxy X is believed to be easily foldable in the same manner as with a wallet making it easier to carry in your pocket.
Samsung already hold several patents for foldable smartphones so it is little surprise that they are now ready to launch something on to the market.

Samsung’s latest flagship devices, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are currently on sale in Thailand from 23,900 THB and 26,900 THB respectively.
